Enhanced Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer kills somebody every 60 minutes.  Thru oral cancer screening our job is to detect and then refer any suspicious lesions to a specialist for biopsy and to provide a diagnosis. In addition to our basic oral cancer screening we are now utilizing an enhanced screening device, called a Velscope. This device gives us an opportunity to detect and document any suspicous areas by means of tissue fluorescence.  It is both painless and totally safe and is provided at no additional charge to our patients as part of our standard of total care.
